Access Global Mission Statement
We aim to connect the user to the appropriate company or organisation to meet their requirements in the simplest way possible and to eliminate the irrelevant banners and links associated with the generic search engines. The Access Global database can be searched in order of:
- Disability
- Category
- And location
The results can then be saved in a single location for convenience and future use.
Our mission is to create an entirely new searching experience enabling the disabled user, their carer or healthcare professional to find information on all aspects of facilities, goods and services available in the public and private sector.
In order to do this we have taken great care in the design of our website – especially as our mission is to be accessible and to clearly demonstrate our adherence to the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). Under the Act, disabled persons should now be given equal access to all aspects of goods, facilities and services. For the technically minded you can find more information on how we achieve this by clicking here.
In addition, we will provide online support groups where you can meet to share your experiences with one another and provide practical solutions for individual problems.
In the longer term, we aim to work with all our approved suppliers of products and services to improve understanding and help create an inclusive society and remove the barriers that have traditionally separated disabled people from their non-disabled counterparts.
